History
The General Education Center is responsible for the 28-credit general education course in the undergraduate department of our school. It was formerly known as the "Common Course" and was established in 1981. It was restructured into the "General Education Center" in August 1993. In addition to cultivating students' language skills, information skills and knowledge in non-sports majors, the courses offered by the center also enable students to acquire humanistic qualities, social care sentiments and independent thinking skills, and actively expand students' international horizons.
Staffing and business responsibilities
The center has 4 full-time teachers, teaching common courses such as Chinese, English and information, and 1 specialist to assist in the administrative affairs of the center. The center offers approximately 114 to 122 general education courses every academic year, covering 16 credits of common courses and 12 credits of classified courses. In conjunction with the curriculum, various diversified activities are organized during the semester, such as: organizing competitions related to Chinese, English, and information, and a series of general education week activities, and organizing information and English certification examinations on campus to encourage students to learn in a variety of ways and have certified basic skills. ability.
